The most anticipated witness has begun to testify in Donald Trump’s New York hush money trial: Michael Cohen, who was the former president’s attorney and fixer.
Prosecutors will ask Cohen to show that Trump was directly involved in falsifying business records to keep secret a $130,000 hush money payment to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election. In exchange, she agreed to stay silent about her claim that she and Trump had a sexual encounter years earlier.
