Prosecutors and defense lawyers in the gun trial of President’s Biden’s son Hunter rested their cases Monday morning, setting the stage for closing arguments. The prosecution has presented evidence of Biden’s crack cocaine addiction in the years leading up to and around the time he purchased a gun in October 2018. Biden’s lawyers argue that prosecutors have not offered evidence that their client was on drugs when he bought the gun and signed a federal form attesting that he was not using illegal substances, or that he took drugs during the 11 days the gun was in his possession. Defense witnesses included Biden’s daughter Naomi Biden. Prosecutors called an FBI agent back to the witness stand Monday seeking to counter Naomi Biden’s description of her father as seeming clean and healthy in October 2018.
