Democrats are continuing to wrestle over whether President Biden should remain atop their presidential ticket. During appearances on Sunday talk shows, Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and James E. Clyburn offered continued support for Biden. Clyburn, a close Biden ally, said he will support Biden as long as he wants to be the nominee. Sen. Joe Manchin III (W.Va.), who changed his registration from Democrat to independent in May, said it’s time for Biden to “pass the torch.” More than 35 congressional Democrats have called for Biden to step aside, according to a Washington Post tally.
