Vice President Harris, having secured pledges of support from a majority of Democratic National Convention delegates to be the party’s presidential nominee, is heading to the battleground state of Wisconsin for a rally Tuesday. The event in Milwaukee had been scheduled before President Biden’s exit from the race but has taken on new meaning now that Democrats are coalescing around Harris as his replacement to take on former president Donald Trump.
