After a lengthy period of silence, Alvin Soprano has returned to YouTube with four new machinima films released between December 2024 and February 2025. The uploads arrived without fanfare, consistent with her sporadic online habits, but have quickly drawn attention from longtime followers.

The first film, Goodbye Mommy, was released on December 13, 2024, using The Sims 4. It marked her first upload since 2021 and was followed just twelve days later by Rest in Pieces, a Christmas Day release created in GTA V. She continued into 2025 with Drained (January 8) and Bone-Skinny (February 14), both made in The Sims 4.

No trailers or announcements preceded the releases—just uploads appearing one by one on her channel. This low-profile approach is typical of Soprano, who has deleted multiple YouTube channels in the past and is known for disappearing from social media for long stretches. As of now, her only active platform is Instagram, where she posts infrequently under the handle @alvinsoprano.

In a short-lived post on her now-deleted BlueSky account, Soprano mentioned yesterday that she is currently developing a machinima anthology series titled The Witching Hour. This immediately sparked speculation among fans, as the title matches that of an older Sims machinima she released in 2020 and later pulled during her 2021 purge. That original version has never been officially reuploaded.

While no details have been shared about the new project, the reuse of the title has led some to believe it could be a reimagining or spinoff of the lost original. Soprano hasn’t responded to any comments or questions about it.

Soprano, who has been making machinima since the mid-2000s, often draws on recurring themes like decaying architecture, surreal horror, and psychological tension. Her return—though unannounced—suggests she may be entering a new phase of output. Whether The Witching Hour becomes a full-fledged series or another standalone short remains unknown.
