Accusations of racial profiling by managers at Project Cannabis Noho raise serious concerns.

Los Angeles, CA, July 21, 2024 – Project Cannabis Noho is facing serious allegations of racial profiling by two of its managers, Ryan and Dee, according to reports by iHeart Media and Medium Magazine. A veteran and long-time customer has come forward with her experience, highlighting a troubling incident of discrimination that has sparked widespread outrage.

In a detailed interview with iHeart Radio, the veteran, who wishes to remain anonymous, recounted an incident that occurred at Project Cannabis Noho, where she had been a consistent customer for nearly five years. The veteran, who suffers from PTSD, shared that she had spent thousands of dollars monthly at the establishment, relying on cannabis for therapeutic relief.

She describes an environment where employee turnover was high, and numerous staff members complained about poor treatment from management. Despite these issues, she remained loyal to the store until a recent encounter left her feeling discriminated against and upset.

The veteran recounted an interaction with Ryan, a manager she described as having a “porn mustache” and exhibiting covertly racist behavior. She also mentioned a distressing confrontation with Dee, a heavyset, blonde manager, who she described as “nasty and aggressive.” This altercation occurred when the veteran attempted to retrieve cash that had been mistakenly left for her at the register during a previous visit, only to be met with poor customer service and hostility. The business had overcharged her the day before and owed her money. The client came to the business to retrieve the cash and was racially profiled by Dee.

The incident has prompted the veteran to speak out against the treatment she received, emphasizing the importance of addressing racial profiling and discriminatory practices in businesses. Her story has resonated with many, bringing to light the ongoing issues of racism and racial profiling in the cannabis industry.
