ORLANDO, FL – Florida’s tourism industry is experiencing a record-breaking rebound, with millions of visitors flocking to the Sunshine State in the past year. Following a sharp decline during the COVID-19 pandemic, Florida’s major attractions and beaches are seeing pre-pandemic levels of activity once again.

According to data from Visit Florida, the state welcomed over 137 million visitors in the past year, making it one of the most successful periods in tourism history.

“We’re seeing unprecedented demand,” said Jessica Martinez, spokesperson for Visit Florida. “People are eager to travel again, and Florida remains a top destination.”

Theme parks like Disney World, Universal Studios, and Busch Gardens have reported sold-out weekends and record attendance numbers. Additionally, beach towns like Miami, Clearwater, and Destin have seen a surge in hotel bookings.

The increase in tourism has also benefited local businesses, from restaurants to tour operators.

“This has been a game-changer for us,” said Carlos Hernandez, owner of a popular seafood restaurant in Key West. “We struggled during the pandemic, but now we’re back and stronger than ever.”

With Florida’s tourism industry booming, state officials are exploring ways to sustain the momentum, including new marketing campaigns and infrastructure improvements.
