President Biden on Tuesday blamed former president Donald Trump for the impending collapse of a bipartisan Senate package of border measures and funding for Ukraine and Israel. Trump, who is seeking to return to the White House, has lobbied fellow Republicans against passage of the legislation. In the House, Republican leaders have scheduled a vote Tuesday on whether to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over what they say has been a neglect of his duties at the U.S.-Mexico border, in a process Democrats have decried as a sham.
